Grundtvig funding awarded to Caer Alyn
Heritage and Cultural project to start October 2009
'
The Caer Alyn Project has been successful in their Grundtvig application to form a partnership with five other European countries to develop a heritage project ' Let Me Be Your Guide - History in your own backyard'.' The partner countries in this project are; Spain, Belgium, Malta, Austria and Lithuania.
The programme will provide the opportunity for our volunteers to take part in a programme of visits and events taking place in these countries over the next two years, developing a better understanding of European culture and heritage. In addition the project will produce a European E-Guide for each area and develop a range of training opportunities for other European countries to develop their own cultural and heritage guides.
Caer Alyn will host a International Seminar in February 2011 for our fellow partners. This event will be in association with Northern Marches Cymru http://www.wrexham.gov.uk/.../northern_marches_cymru/index.htm
Representatives of the Caer Alyn Project will be attending the first meeting of this partnership between 20th -24th October in Madrid.
Details of the project's progress, forthcoming events and the project diary will be posted on the website.
