Video of a flight up the Alyn Valley
For the past few weeks I have been looking at the mass of free software and data available on the internet and using the gps on my phone for surveying.
One of the many things I wanted to achieve, was to plot features onto Google Earth and then view them form the air. I have managed my first attempt which you can view on the link below.
Google Earth landscape http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoneAZgdbYk
Same flight over Elevation Data http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqFoPp08cM4
The flight starts from near Rosset, you can see The Roft on the left hand side and then on up the Alyn Valley to Caer Alyn. Not quite mastered the camera angles here but the video continues on to Caer Estyn at Caergwrle. See if you can spot the Hillfort at Pentre Broughton which looks down over Caer Alyn.
I have put some of the pictures on a new web site I have started which you can read on this link.

I will be adding more here over the course of the year.
