The Caer Alyn Project Iron Age Roundhouse

The roundhouse is being built using traditional materials. The house consists of a thatched roof and wattle and daub walls. The interior of the house will be furnished with respect to an Iron Age dwelling.
The house will be surrounded by an enclosure fence. The enclosure will have internal partitions for cattle and industrial processes i.e. smelting and pottery firing (furnace and kiln).
