Metal Detecting, Wildlife & Environment, Pottery finds.


Derek Roberts started the mornings activities with a discussion on the laws relating to metal detecting and the declaring of finds. He had brought with him a large number of his prized personal finds for the youngsters to examine.

Tony Gavin from Grass Roots Education Advice & Training then followed with a discussion about local wildlife, conservation and environmental issues. The group then went outdoors for some hands on activities to locate some local wildlife in the most unexpected places.

Johnathan Coley concluded the days activities with a collection of pottery from various periods being distributed, examined and explained to the youngsters.
