***Harvesting the Past project with Young Roots and Caya are joining together!***

Harvesting the Past had been funded through Heritage Lottery Fund’s Young Roots programme, whose aim was to encourage young people to learn about different aspects of their local heritage which are important to them and creatively interpret them for the wider community. This project has come to an end, however the members of Young Roots are going to continue their good work by helping and teaching the young members of CAYA their new found skills.

The future activities will continue with the development of the herb garden as well as conservation activities such as providing safe havens for the animals and plants at Caer Alyn. The archaeology will continue as well especially digging the CAYA trench!

The sessions for CAYA will still be at Alyn Lodge from 10.30am to 1.00pm.
The dates for 2012/2013 are as follows:

NO MARCH session
April 27th 2013
May 25th 2013
June 29th 2013

There are no sessions in July and August as these occur during the summer holidays.

Children from the ages of six years on are welcome to join us, There are four archaeologists who are the leaders for the new group - Phil Cox, Jon Coley, Phil Mackie and Karen Morrell also we have Bryn, Claire and Helen who have volunteered their help!
