Latest News from Caer Alyn CAER ALYN ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROJECT - Wrexham SUMMER DIG 2010 Book now for the 7th August – 21st August 2010 Join the Caer Alyn team in excavating a potential prehistoric enclosure at the southern entrance to the Bryn Alyn hillfort In 2008, Dr Meggen Gondek, University of Chester, completed a geophysical survey of the interior of the hillfort and an area just outside the southern entrance to the Bryn Hill fort, the results of which indicated that there are possible features in both areas.

Interim Finds Analysis Completed on Trench 14

On Saturday we completed the interim alalysis and recording of all the finds from trench 14. The attached document shows what trench 14 looks like, who the "finds" team are, gives some statistics and also shows some photographs of some of the special finds.

Caer Alyn field trip to Barningham Moor

Rock Art

In mid march, members of Caer Alyn visited Caer Alyn for a weekend of Rock Art hunting on Barningham Moor, North Yorkshire. The accomodation was good, the rock art was fantastic, the pub was............."interesting" and the company wonderul. Two versions of the weekends events are attached, one by myself and a more entertaining one by Beverly.
