Dig Diary from BOB trench 4th October 2008Last week we continued the excavation on the BOB trench. The trenches put in over the geophysics "dark patches" seem to suggest that there is no structure here and we may well be winding up the excavation work here. The next few weeks will probably be taken up recording, photographing and back filling. 3352 visits |
Dig Diary for 6th September 2008 on BOBThe dig diarier are about the excavations on the possible croft area. I have added the name BOB to the title as BOB (back of beyond) best describes the location and it is what we all lovingly call the trench. So.... BOB it is. This week we found some interesting things with the help of Derrick and his metal detector and almost got "traumatised" by the apparent bricks underneath our earliest foundations. 3024 visits |
