***Experimental Archaeology Summer school***'''Experimental Archaeology Week'''CAAHP is running a week of experimental archaeology in summer 2013. BSc/MSc Archaeology students are invited to spend a week at Caer Alyn doing experimental archaeology. Students will get the chance to build a kiln and fire it.
Three kilns to choose from
Roman Updraft, Iron Age Clamp Kiln and Egyptian Faience kiln (All materials provided and pots and faience to fire)
Lab visit Daresbury
Students will spend one day at The STFC Daresbury Laboratory to give them an introduction to the various analytical techniques available to them as future archaeological scientists. 696 visits |
